I hold Kinesiology degree and am a professional Ski Guide with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides.

I (Neil Warren) tested at the U of C Human Performance lab in Sept, 2022 and again in Sept 2024 after 2 years of self coached training exactly as outlined on this website/on our training plans.  I achieved a 15% increase in V02Max, and a massive 84.8% increase in the cycling power I can hold at my aerobic Threshold! 

2022 testing results(link to data):

  • VO2 max  49.64 ml/kg/min.  

  • Cycling power at aerobic threshold(AT 1): 135 WATTS

  • Heart rate at AT1: ~93 BPM

2024 testing results (link to data):

  • V02 max 57.1 ml/kg/min (15% increase) I’m a 45 year old father of two - 57 is higher than I tested at in my early 20’s racing triathlons & XC mtb under a professional coach.

  • Cycling power at AT 1: 249.5 WATTS ( a massive 84.8% increase!!)

  • Heart rate at AT 1: ~126BPM ( 35.5% increase)
